Transporter: The TV Series

I just watched the first episode of the TV spin off of the movie Transporter and I must say that it was a good watch.  It had the same kick ass fight sequence of the Jason Stratham movie, same plot, but minus Jason Stratham.   It follows the continuing adventure of Frank Martin who is a freelance professional courier driver who will deliver anything or anyone, anywhere, for the right price, and no questions asked.  He follows three rules:  do not change the schedule, no names, and don't look at the package---rules that he more or less constantly breaks (and often times, gets him into trouble).

Actor Chris Vance takes over Jason Stratham in the lead role of Frank Martin.  Vance is a British actor who is well known for his role as Jack Gallagher in the Fox series Mental and as James Whistler in the series Prison Break.

Chris Vance as Frank Martin
He is joined Hungarian actress Andrea Osvart who plays a former CIA agent, Carla Valeri, who arranges his assignments and at the same time plays his love interest (one of many it would seem).  While Andrea is a virtual unknown as an actress, I'm sure she'll make quite an impression in this series with her killer good looks and provocative dress code (which is almost always less an inner garment) that would surely have most of the male population glued to their seats drooling at the sight of her!

But let me tell you this---Rachel Skartsen's guest starring role in episode one will guarantee for you to go into spontaneous combustion---not to mention something to look forward to in the next episodes! (Just thinking about them scenes got me all drooly right now!)

What happens next is something to look forward to...

French actor Francois Berleand is the only returning cast from the movie and reprises his role as Inspector Tarconi who is Frank Martin's friend, house keeper (whenever Frank is on a mission) and reluctant police liaison.

Twelve episodes has been ordered for 2012 with the premiere episode shown in Germany last October 11 and France last December 6.  Canada and U.S. airing will be on January 4 and June 21, 2013, respectively.  So far, I have already downloaded 11 episodes---thank God for torrent!!! :)
