Harry Potter Book 8: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Saw this book at National Bookstore yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. It has been a while since the last HP book came out and it seemed like a happily ever after ending---apparently NOT!
I'm not sure if it's only a NBS hype but they told me that this is a limited print book only. It's (hard bound) priced at Php 1,400 + but you get a NBS voucher worth Php 500 if you make a purchase.
If I don't see an ebook copy anytime soon (siyempre yung free) I will set aside to buy this one. I'm sure my booky girls will appreciate it!

See synopsis below:
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

Day 9 of My 220 lbs Vision with USANA Nutrimeal

Dieting is a test of will.

Currently on my 9th day and it's as if I'm an addict in withdrawal!

Went to the canteen to get me something to eat and that spaghetti sure looked really delicious! I was salivating and was way over my head trying to justify to get me to order a plate---just this once. Buti nalang my 220lbs vision prevailed and ended up with an order of mixed veggies.

Susme! Kahirap mag control!

Weird Dieting in Buffet 101

When you're on a diet, you don't ever get yourself in a situation where your resolve is tried to the limit.  Well, yesterday happened to be that way for me.

It was the 18th birthday of my wife's niece and naturally it was a real celebration---at BUFFET 101 in Glorietta 2!

At first, I really did not want to go but my wife insisted and so I went (otherwise, arguing would mean stress and as much as possible I veer away from it).  So before I went I got myself psyched to go beyond my gastronomical cravings and focus on the greens.  My God it was a real struggle once you see all the food selections!  But my control prevailed (kinda). It was really weird eating an all leaves meal in a buffet! Oh I cheated...I ate a a couple of raw red salmon, seafood chowder, and small slice of roast beef but mostly it was all greens all the way and with great strength I managed not to touch any dessert!

It was a relief once we got out of there!  Before, I could have done three rounds plus another plateful of dessert. Oh well, not really getting younger, are we?

Once I get my poundage down, I promise to go back to Buffet 101 for my cheat day!

Back to Diet---with USANA NUTRIMEAL!

Man, it's been a while since I posted a blog and I felt remiss in my blogging duties (as if I really had one).  Anyways, I've been on a low glycerin diet for the last 6 days (today is my 7th).

I started out at 234lbs and I aim to get to 220-225 after 10 days or as long as my USANA NUTRIMEAL lasts. Normally, a 540g pack will last for 5 days (breakfast, lunch, dinner).  But per advise, I can eat my normal breakfast and then go Nutrimeal for lunch and dinner the philosophy being, "Eat like a KING for breakfast and eat like a pauper for lunch and dinner."

I eat a cereal breakfast and drink my Vanila flavored Nutrimeal for LUNCH and DINNER.  No rice, no bread.  I eat only fruits (banana mostly for energy) in between and an occasional energy bar when I'm on the go.  I also do lettuce salad as a cheat meal and whatever greens we have left over at home.

The best I got from dieting was from 245lbs to 225lbs.  Which I did in 3 months.  This time around, a friend of mine who is an Usana advocate, told me that with the right discipline I can actually lose weight in 5-10 days with Usana Nutrimeal as my main source of dietary need.  Well, I have not checked my progress by consulting a weighing scale but I found a couple of my formerly tight shirts to be a little loose.  Good news, right?  Well, we'll see.
